My Latest Obsession.

I recently hosted a Tupperware party and was rewarded with lots of low priced items and even free stuff!  Some of the items I chose as my hostess rewards are the Fridge Smart containers.  These things are supposed to make your fresh produce last longer — and boy do they ever!  Last night, I just ate the remaining lettuce we had stored in one of these containers 2 weeks ago and it was just as fresh and good looking as the day we bought it.  I can’t even begin to tell you how much money we have thrown away because we forget about or just don’t care to eat up all the fresh fruits and veggies we buy fast enough.  PROBLEM SOLVED!  The best part is they come in a few different shapes and sizes to accommodate most any kind produce you can get your hands on – even a huge round container for whole heads of lettuce, cabbages, etc.  Here is a look inside our fridge:

The secret is these little vents on the short side of the containers.  They allow just enough gas to exit the container to keep them fresh and you can control that by opening and closing these tiny vents:

Now you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure out how much air each of your different fruits or veggies needs in order to stay fresh, the information is printed on the side of each container.  If you can identify your produce in a picture you can figure this out:

It even tells you what produce should NOT be put in the fridge!  Bananas, tomatoes, eggplant…

Check these out – They will change the way you live, I promise… and if you’re interested in hosting a party and getting this stuff plus more for free let me know and I can put you in touch with my “Tupperware Lady”!
